1.General Disclaimer
FatFire (fatfire.com) is a membership platform for high-net-worth individuals. FATFIRE is a registered trademark in the United States (U.S. Reg. #7761462). The platform primarily serves members in the United States and is designed with US federal and state law in mind, including the securities, tax, insurance, healthcare, and consumer protection frameworks described in these disclaimers.
FatFire is an information and peer community platform. All content, tools, calculators, benchmarks, directories, assessments, and community features on this website are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this website constitutes, or is intended to constitute, professional advice of any kind — including but not limited to financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, insurance, medical, mental health, or security advice.
Your use of this website and its features does not create a professional-client relationship of any kind between you and FatFire, its affiliates, employees, agents, or any other member of the FatFire community. No fiduciary duty, duty of care, or professional obligation arises from your use of this platform. You should not act or refrain from acting based on any information on this website without first seeking qualified professional advice specific to your individual circumstances.
2.Not Financial or Investment Advice
FatFire is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or investment company under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Company Act of 1940, or any state securities or investment adviser law. We are not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), or any state securities regulator. We do not provide personalized investment advice. We do not recommend specific securities, investment strategies, asset allocations, or financial products. We do not manage money or portfolios. We do not hold ourselves out as providing investment advice in any form.
No content on this platform — including but not limited to articles on tax strategy, asset allocation, withdrawal planning, Roth conversions, ACA subsidy optimization, or estate planning — should be construed as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, or to adopt any particular investment strategy. Any discussion of financial topics reflects general information and the opinions of the author or community member, not personalized advice tailored to your financial situation.
Peer benchmarking data, spending comparisons, allocation breakdowns, and any other aggregate financial information displayed on this platform represent self-reported data from community members and are provided solely for informational context. They do not constitute investment advice, a solicitation, or a recommendation of any kind. Past performance, spending patterns, or financial decisions of other members are not indicative of future results and should not be relied upon to make investment or financial planning decisions.
You are solely responsible for evaluating any information, opinion, or content on this platform and for making your own independent financial decisions. You should consult a qualified, licensed financial advisor, registered investment adviser, or other appropriate professional before making any financial or investment decisions.
3.Not Tax Advice
FatFire does not provide tax advice. We are not a certified public accounting firm, enrolled agent, licensed tax preparer, or tax return preparer as defined under the Internal Revenue Code. We are not registered with the IRS as a tax return preparer and do not prepare, file, or review tax returns. No content on this platform — including articles discussing Roth conversion strategies, ACA subsidy optimization, tax-loss harvesting, donor-advised funds, Qualified Opportunity Zones, backdoor Roth strategies, state tax planning, or any other tax-related topic — constitutes tax advice or tax planning services.
US federal and state tax laws are complex, change frequently, and vary significantly by jurisdiction. The general information provided on this platform may not reflect the most current developments in the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, IRS guidance, or state and local tax law. Any tax-related calculations, estimates, or projections generated by our tools are approximations based on simplified models and publicly available information. They do not account for your complete financial picture, applicable deductions, credits, phase-outs, alternative minimum tax exposure, net investment income tax, state and local tax obligations, or individual circumstances.
Many US states restrict who may provide tax advice or prepare tax returns. Nothing on this platform is intended to constitute the unauthorized practice of public accounting or tax advisory services in any state. You should consult a qualified tax professional — such as a CPA, enrolled agent, or tax attorney — before making any decisions based on tax-related information found on this platform.
4.Not Legal Advice
FatFire does not provide legal advice. We are not a law firm, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by your use of this platform. No employee, agent, or member of FatFire is acting as your attorney. Content discussing estate planning, trust structures, asset protection, prenuptial agreements, business entity formation, beneficiary designations, or any other legal topic is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute the practice of law in any US state or jurisdiction.
Every US state prohibits the unauthorized practice of law. Nothing on this platform is intended to constitute the practice of law, and no content should be used as a substitute for competent legal counsel. Legal matters are highly dependent on individual facts and the laws of the applicable jurisdiction — including state-specific rules on trusts, estate tax, community property, asset protection, and professional licensing. You should consult a qualified attorney licensed in the relevant jurisdiction before making any legal decisions or taking any legal action based on information found on this platform.
5.Not Medical or Mental Health Advice
FatFire does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or mental health advice. We are not healthcare providers, therapists, counselors, or licensed mental health professionals under any US state licensing law. No content on this platform constitutes a medical diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or mental health intervention. Nothing on this platform is intended to constitute the practice of medicine, psychology, counseling, or any other licensed healthcare profession in any US state.
Content and tools related to healthcare planning, ACA marketplace navigation, concierge medicine, executive health programs, longevity, and wellness are provided for general informational purposes. The Launchpad Life Design tool (/launchpad) — including its Life Compass dimension tracking and Prototype Lab experiment framework — is a self-reflection and goal-setting tool. It is not therapy, clinical coaching, psychological assessment, or mental health treatment. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.
The Firesides Peer Connections feature (/firesides) — including Compass Calls and Fireside Groups — facilitates peer conversation among community members. These are peer interactions, not therapeutic relationships. Participants are not licensed therapists, counselors, or healthcare providers. Peer conversations are not substitutes for professional mental health care.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a licensed mental health professional, call your local emergency number, or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US).
6.Financial Calculators and Tools
FatFire provides several interactive tools that perform calculations based on user-provided inputs. These tools include but are not limited to:
The Health Calculator (/tools/health-calculator) estimates the interaction between ACA premium subsidies, Roth IRA conversion amounts, and IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount) surcharges. The Fortress Security Shield (/fortress) generates a personal exposure assessment based on a 20-question questionnaire and produces a remediation checklist. The Launchpad Life Design tool (/launchpad) provides self-assessment frameworks across life dimensions and supports structured personal experiments.
All calculations, scores, assessments, projections, and outputs generated by these tools are estimates based on simplified models, publicly available data, and the inputs you provide. They are inherently limited and may not reflect your actual financial, tax, insurance, or personal situation. Specifically: ACA subsidy estimates may differ from actual marketplace results; IRMAA projections are based on current thresholds that change annually; Roth conversion impact estimates do not account for your complete tax picture; security assessments are generalized and cannot evaluate your specific threat environment.
These tools are educational aids. Their outputs are not recommendations. You should not make financial, tax, insurance, healthcare, or security decisions based solely on the output of any tool on this platform. Always consult qualified professionals who can evaluate your complete individual circumstances.
7.Peer Benchmarking Data (Signal)
The Signal Peer Benchmarking feature (/signal) displays aggregate financial data — including spending patterns, asset allocations, tax metrics, and lifestyle benchmarks — derived from self-reported information voluntarily submitted by FatFire members.
This data is self-reported and unaudited. FatFire does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or truthfulness of any data submitted by members to Signal. The aggregate benchmarks, percentile rankings, and distribution curves displayed are statistical summaries of self-reported data, not verified financial facts. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unrepresentative of any particular population.
Signal data is presented for informational context only — to help members understand how their financial decisions compare to those of self-reported peers. It is not a recommendation to match, target, or replicate any spending level, asset allocation, tax strategy, or financial behavior shown in the benchmarks. What other members report spending or allocating does not constitute advice about what you should spend or allocate.
To protect member privacy, Signal enforces a minimum cohort size before displaying benchmark data. However, no statistical aggregation method can guarantee complete anonymity, and you should consider this before submitting data.
8.Provider Directory
The FatFire Provider Directory (/directory) lists third-party service providers — including but not limited to CPAs, estate planning attorneys, financial advisors, tax strategists, insurance specialists, and other professionals — for informational purposes only.
Inclusion in the Provider Directory does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, referral, or guarantee of quality by FatFire. We do not verify the credentials, licensure, insurance coverage, disciplinary history, or quality of work of any listed provider. We have no financial relationship with listed providers unless explicitly disclosed on the provider's listing page. We receive no referral fees, commissions, or compensation from providers for their inclusion unless explicitly disclosed.
Member reviews and ratings of providers reflect the personal opinions and experiences of individual members and are not verified or endorsed by FatFire. A high rating does not guarantee that a provider will deliver satisfactory results for you.
You are solely responsible for evaluating, selecting, and engaging any service provider. You should independently verify credentials, licensure, disciplinary history, fee structures, and suitability before engaging any professional — including by checking the relevant regulatory authority (e.g., your state's CPA board, bar association, SEC Investment Adviser Public Disclosure database, FINRA BrokerCheck, or state insurance commissioner). FatFire is not a party to any engagement between you and a listed provider and assumes no liability for the acts, omissions, quality, or outcomes of any provider's services.
9.Verification System
FatFire offers a voluntary verification process through which members can confirm that their claimed net worth or income falls within a stated range. Verification status (displayed as a badge on member profiles and community contributions) indicates that a member has completed our verification process for the claimed range at the time of verification.
Verification does not mean that FatFire has independently audited, appraised, or confirmed the precise net worth, income, assets, or liabilities of any member. It does not guarantee that the verified information remains accurate after the date of verification. It does not constitute an endorsement of the member's credibility, expertise, judgment, or the accuracy of any content they post. It does not establish that the member is a qualified professional in any field.
Verification expires after one year and must be renewed. Financial circumstances change. A member's verified status reflects a point-in-time assessment, not a continuous guarantee.
You should not rely on another member's verification status as a basis for financial, investment, legal, or any other decisions. Verification is a community trust mechanism, not a professional credential or guarantee of any kind.
10.Member-Generated Content
FatFire hosts community discussions, comments, replies, direct messages, space posts, and other content created by individual members. This content represents the personal views, opinions, and experiences of individual members. It does not represent the views, opinions, or positions of FatFire.
FatFire does not pre-screen, verify, endorse, adopt, or assume responsibility for any member-generated content. While we maintain community guidelines and may moderate content that violates our Terms of Service, the existence of moderation does not mean we have reviewed or approved any particular piece of content. Our moderation activities are undertaken to maintain community standards, not to verify accuracy or provide editorial endorsement.
Member-generated content may contain inaccurate information, personal opinions presented as facts, outdated information, or content that is not applicable to your specific circumstances. Some members may claim expertise they do not possess. Content discussing financial strategies, tax approaches, legal structures, healthcare decisions, or other professional topics in community discussions is not professional advice — regardless of whether the author is a verified member, claims professional credentials, or displays an expert badge.
You assume all risk associated with relying on any member-generated content. FatFire functions as an interactive computer service within the meaning of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. Section 230) and shall not be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider.
11.Peer Interactions (Braintrust and Firesides)
The Braintrust Expert Network (/braintrust) connects members who have self-identified areas of expertise with members seeking peer perspectives. Braintrust participants are community members sharing their personal experience and opinions — they are not licensed professionals providing professional services through the platform. A Braintrust consultation is a peer conversation, not a professional engagement. It does not create an advisor-client, attorney-client, therapist-patient, or any other professional relationship.
The Firesides Peer Connections feature (/firesides) facilitates one-on-one Compass Calls and peer advisory Fireside Groups among community members. These are peer interactions designed for mutual support and shared experience. Firesides participants are not acting as professional advisors, therapists, counselors, or coaches. The structure of these interactions (matching, scheduling, group facilitation) does not transform them into professional service relationships.
FatFire does not verify the professional credentials, licensure, or qualifications of any member participating in Braintrust consultations or Firesides connections — even if a member claims to hold professional credentials. Expert badges indicate self-reported domain expertise, not verified professional licensure.
Any information, perspective, or suggestion shared during a Braintrust consultation or Firesides interaction is a personal opinion of a peer, not professional advice. You should not make financial, legal, tax, medical, or other consequential decisions based solely on a peer interaction without consulting a qualified licensed professional.
12.External Links and Third-Party Content
This website may contain links to third-party websites, articles, tools, products, or services. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. FatFire does not control, endorse, sponsor, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party website or resource.
Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement or affiliation. You access third-party websites at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of service of any third-party website you visit.
13.No Warranties on Accuracy
While FatFire endeavors to provide accurate and current information, we make no representations or warranties of any kind — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability of any content, tool output, calculation, benchmark data, provider listing, member-generated content, or other information on this platform.
Financial regulations, tax laws, healthcare policies, insurance rules, and other regulatory frameworks change frequently. Information on this platform may not reflect the most current legal, tax, or regulatory developments. Calculator models are simplifications that cannot capture the full complexity of individual financial, tax, or insurance situations.
Any reliance you place on information obtained through this platform is strictly at your own risk. FatFire shall not be liable for any loss or damage — including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage arising from loss of data or profits — arising out of or in connection with your use of this platform or reliance on information obtained through it.
14.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FatFire, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses — arising out of or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on this platform, its tools, content, community features, provider directory, verification system, or any information obtained through the platform.
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (whether contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and regardless of whether FatFire has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some US states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such states, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. For the complete limitation of liability, governing law, dispute resolution, and other legal terms, please refer to our Terms of Service.
